Our Mission

UNLEASH YOUR SUPERPOWER!

Our mission is simple: to help those in need. We empower children on the Autism Spectrum in their evolution into successful, self-sufficient members of their communities.  ABLE will make a major impact by raising awareness of Autism, encouraging the participation of children with Autism in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math), and promote their mainstreaming in community activities as means towards an independent  life.

ACCESS TO STEM PROGRAMS

CREATING ACCESS

Children with Autism show interest and above normal ability in STEM fields. ABLE plans to encourage the participation of students with Autism in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) by promoting access to existing programs and creating new ones. It is our belief that a career in STEM holds the key to future financial independence.

THE ABLE LEGO CLUB

A NEW APPROACH TO SOCIAL SKILLS

It has been proven that better social and adaptive skills make a huge difference in the lives of people with Autism. One of our upcoming projects will be a Lego Club based on research on how creative play therapies improve communication and social skills in children on the Autism Spectrum.

RAISING AWARENESS OF AUTISM

CREATING ACCEPTANCE

With this initiative, our goal is to create opportunities for children with Autism to participate in social and community activities with their peers. With equal access to resources, children with Autism grow up to become empowered individuals with the ability to chase their dreams, and use the tools they need to build the life they want.

ACCESS TO STEM EDUCATION

NURTURING SPECIAL ABILITIES

Many children on the Autism Spectrum have special abilities in STEM fields.  It is our mission at ABLE to nurture this potential and help our children achieve.  We seek strategic partnerships with the public and private sector to create access to and develop STEM education programs for children with Autism, to prepare them for college and future employment.

THE ABLE FOUNDATION LEGO CLUB

AN EFFECTIVE THERAPY FOR SOCIAL SKILLS

The development and acquisition of social skills and social communication are of great importance for children with Autism, as they are key to success in their daily lives.  We will champion the use of novel methods like Lego Therapy that enhance learning through play.

COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES

EQUAL ACCESS

With this initiative, our goal is to create access to leisure and social activities where children with Autism can participate alongside their typically developing peers, which will help them generalize their social and communication skills.   With equal access and opportunity, children with Autism will grow up to become empowered individuals with the ability to chase their dreams, and use the tools they need to build the life they want.
